To comply with Japanese export regulations, international shipping laws, and carrier restrictions, users are strictly prohibited from purchasing, listing, or shipping certain categories of goods through Janbox. Users acknowledge and agree that they are solely responsible for ensuring that any item they purchase or ship through Janbox is permitted under the applicable laws and regulations of both Japan and the destination country. - Items Prohibited Under Japanese Export Regulations The following items are strictly prohibited from being exported from Japan:
- Narcotics, illegal drugs, controlled substances, including but not limited to stimulants, psychotropic drugs, cannabis-related products, and other regulated substances.
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, gunpowder, and weapon components regulated under Japanese law.
- Chemical weapon precursors and hazardous toxic substances subject to export control.
- Items restricted under Japan's Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act (FEFTA) that require an export license.
- Cultural properties, antiques, or artifacts designated as National Treasures or Important Cultural Properties.
- Counterfeit goods or products that infringe intellectual property rights, including replica and imitation branded products.
- Pornographic materials prohibited under Japanese law. Janbox does not support the export of items that require special government licenses or export permits.
- Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials The following categories of goods are generally prohibited from international shipping due to carrier safety regulations:
- Flammable liquids and solids, including alcohol-based perfumes, fuels, solvents, and lighter refills.
- Compressed gases, including aerosol sprays, spray cans, and gas cylinders.
- Batteries, especially lithium batteries that are improperly installed, packaged, or declared.
- Fireworks, explosives, and other combustible materials.
- Corrosive substances, including acids, mercury, and industrial chemicals.
- Radioactive materials.
- Magnetic materials that may interfere with aircraft navigation systems. These items are classified as Dangerous Goods (DG) under international air transport regulations and cannot be shipped through standard international shipping services.
- Restricted Consumer Products Certain consumer products may be restricted or prohibited depending on the import regulations of the destination country or the policies of the shipping carrier. These include:
- Cosmetics, skincare, and beauty products containing alcohol or other controlled ingredients.
- Food, beverages, and perishable goods, particularly fresh meat, dairy products, and fresh food.
- Dietary supplements and health-related products.
- Medical devices and pharmaceutical products, including prescription medications.
- Plants, seeds, soil, and other organic materials.
- Animal-derived products, including ivory, fur, and products made from endangered species. Customers are responsible for verifying whether these products are permitted for import into their destination country before placing an order.
- Items Restricted by Shipping Carriers or Destination Countries In addition to Japanese export regulations, certain items may also be prohibited by international carriers or the customs regulations of the destination country. These include:
- Cash, currency, and negotiable financial instruments.
- Precious metals, gemstones, and other high-value items that are not properly declared.
- Weapons, including knives, swords, stun guns, and self-defense devices.
- Gambling equipment or gambling-related items.
- Any products considered illegal, obscene, or offensive under the laws of the destination country. Customers are responsible for confirming whether an item can legally be imported into their country before placing an order.
