3. Estimated Shipping Fees

Janbox provides an online shipping calculator to help you quickly estimate costs based on distance, weight, and package dimensions. This is a handy tool for customers who want to plan their budget before placing an order.

Steps to Calculate International Shipping Fees Step 1: Determine the Gross Weight Use a scale to weigh your package. Round up to the nearest 0.5 kg. Step 2: Calculate the Volume Weight Measure the package's length, width, and height (in cm). Round each measurement to the nearest cm, then apply the formula: Volume Weight (kg) = (Length × Width × Height) / 12,000

Step 3: Compare the Two Weights Take the higher value between the gross weight and the volume weight — this becomes the Chargeable Weight. Step 4: Apply the Shipping Rate Table Use the chargeable weight to look up the rate table for the relevant carrier (ECMS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) and determine the international shipping cost.

Note:

  1. The cost shown is only an estimate based on the information you provide.
  2. The actual international shipping fee may differ if the package's real weight or dimensions vary from the estimate.
  3. For bulky or oversized items, shipping fees may be calculated using a converted weight as determined by the carrier.
  4. Some sellers may charge a domestic shipping fee within Japan; this amount will be added to the total cost if applicable.
  5. The final cost will be confirmed once the item arrives at the Janbox warehouse and its actual dimensions and weight have been measured.
