Payment Process

The international shopping process through Janbox involves two (2) payments, covering the following costs:

Payment 1: When Placing an Order or Winning an Auction This payment allows Janbox to purchase the item or confirm your winning auction on your behalf, and includes the following costs:

  1. Product price: The listed price on the website, or the price you won the item for at auction.
  2. Domestic shipping fee in Japan: The cost of shipping from the seller to the Janbox warehouse in Japan. If the seller uses COD (Cash on Delivery), this fee will instead be collected during the second payment.
  3. Janbox service fee: The service fee is currently ¥0. However, Janbox charges an additional payment processing fee depending on the platform, as follows:

Payment 2: Creating a Shipment and International Shipping Once your item arrives at the Janbox warehouse in Japan and you're ready to receive it, the second payment covers:

  1. International shipping fee: The cost of shipping from Japan to your address, calculated based on the package's weight, dimensions, the shipping carrier, and the destination country. For example, the standard rate for the Japan–Vietnam route is ¥1,300/kg.
  2. Optional service fees: These only apply if you request additional services, such as: cargo insurance, item inspection, real photo checks, package consolidation, special protective packaging, or lifting fees for heavy or bulky items.
