Payment Process
The international purchasing process on Janbox consists of two separate payments, which cover the following costs:
First Payment: When Placing an Order or Winning an Auction
This payment allows Janbox to purchase the item or confirm the auction order on your behalf. It includes the following charges:
- Product Price: The listed price on the marketplace or the final winning bid amount.
- Domestic Shipping Fee in Japan: The shipping cost from the seller to the Janbox warehouse in Japan. If the seller uses the Cash on Delivery (COD) method, this fee will be collected during the second payment.
- Janbox Service Fee: The current service fee is ¥0. However, additional payment fees may apply depending on the marketplace platform, as outlined below.

Second Payment: Shipment Creation and International Shipping
Once your items arrive at the Janbox warehouse in Japan and you are ready to receive your package, the second payment will include the following charges:
- International Shipping Fee: The shipping cost from Japan to your delivery address. The fee is calculated based on the package weight, dimensions, shipping carrier, and destination country. For example, the standard shipping rate from Japan to Vietnam starts from ¥1,300 per kilogram.
- Optional Service Fees: These charges apply only if you request additional services, including:
- Shipping insurance
- Item inspection
- Actual product photos
- Package consolidation
- Special protective packaging
- Handling fees for heavy or oversized packages
